When the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was six years old, his mother took him to Madinah to visit his father's maternal family. Sayyidatuna Umm Ayman, the maidservant of his father, and Sayyiduna Abdul Muttalib رضي الله عنهما accompanied them on this journey. On their return, his mother passed away in Abwa and was buried there. Having already lost his father, the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was now also deprived of his mother's love and affection. Sayyidatuna Umm Ayman رضي الله عنها comforted him, wiped away his tears.
