Famine in Mecca Ended by Your (PBUH) Blessing

The drought in Makkah got over

Ibn Asakir narrated from Jalhuma ibn Urfah who said: 'I came to Makkah and the people of Makkah were suffering from a severe drought. One person suggested seeking help from the idols Lat and Uzza, while another suggested Manat. Upon hearing this, a wise old man said, 'Why are you turning to these idols , although among us were the descendants of Ibrahim عليه السلام and Ismail عليه السلام,?' People asked, 'Do you mean Abu Talib?' He replied, 'Yes.' So they all got up and I went with them. We went to Abu Talib's house and knocked. Abu Talib came out and the people said, 'The land is parched, our children and families are suffering from the drought, let's go and pray for rain.' So Abu Talib came out, and with him was a young boy, The Beloved Prophet ﷺ , who seemed to radiate light. Abu Talib took the boy and placed his back against the Ka’bah. The Beloved Prophet ﷺ pointed his finger towards the sky as if in supplication, even though there was not a single cloud in the sky. As soon as he ﷺ pointed, clouds began to gather from all sides and it rained heavily. The land was filled with water, and the settlements and valleys became green and lush.
