It is narrated from Sayyidatuna Aisha رضي الله عنها that the Holy Prophet ﷺ never took revenge for anything on his own behalf. However, if the sanctity of Allah was violated, he would certainly seek retribution for it.
Sayyidatuna Aisha Siddiqa رضي الله عنها narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم never took revenge for anything concerning his own person. However, when he saw a violation of the sanctity of Allah, he would take revenge for the sake of Allah. As mentioned before, in the tenth year of prophethood, the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم went to Ta'if to invite the tribe of Thaqif to Islam. However, instead of accepting, they inflicted such pain upon him that his blessed sandals became full of blood. When he صلى الله عليه وسلم was returning from there, the angel of the mountains presented himself and said: 'O Muhammad! Command whatever you wish; if you permit, I will overturn the two strong and high mountains of Ta'if upon them.' In response, he صلى الله عليه وسلم said, 'I do not wish for them to be destroyed. Rather, I hope that Allah will bring forth from their descendants those who will worship only God and not associate partners with Him.'
