In this verse, Allah Almighty has mentioned among the praiseworthy qualities of His Beloved Prophet ﷺ that the suffering of the Ummah is a heavy burden upon him. Day and night, he desires that the Ummah be guided to the right path. This shows the extent of the hardships he ﷺ endured for the guidance and well-being of his Ummah. Even in the most severe trials, he ﷺ never cursed but instead prayed for their guidance. His compassion and mercy upon the believers are evident, and for this reason, he ﷺ never forgot his Ummah at any point. On days when there were strong winds or clouds in the sky, signs of grief and worry would appear on the Prophet's ﷺ blessed face. He would sometimes walk forward and sometimes backward. When it rained, he would rejoice, and his state of worry would disappear. Sayyidatuna Aisha Siddiqa رضي الله عنها asked him ﷺ the reason for this, to which he replied: 'I fear that this might be a punishment like that inflicted upon the people of Aad, which has been imposed upon my Ummah.'" Sayyidatuna Aisha Siddiqa رضي الله عنها narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated: 'O Allah, whoever is made a ruler or in charge of any affairs of my Ummah, if he causes hardship for them, then cause hardship for him; and whoever is made a ruler of any affairs of my Ummah, if he is lenient with them, then be lenient with him.'
لَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِیْزٌ عَلَیْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِیْصٌ عَلَیْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ رَءُوْفٌ رَّحِیْم
