عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّی اﷲ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم فِي لَيْلَةٍ إِضْحِيَانٍ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ حَمْرَائُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَی الْقَمَرِ فَلَهُوَ عِنْدِي أَحْسَنُ مِنَ الْقَمَرِ۔
شممائل ترمزی (حدیث 09)Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah رضي الله عنه said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the night of the fourteenth moon wearing a striped red Yemeni cloth. I would look at him and then at the moon, and to me, he ﷺ was surely more beautiful than the moon.
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik رضي الله عنه narrates: A woman from Hamdan told me that she had performed Hajj with the Holy Prophet ﷺ. I asked her: 'What was the appearance of the Holy Prophet’s ﷺ blessed face?' She replied: 'Like the full moon of the fourteenth night. I have never seen such a face before him ﷺ nor after him.' The companion of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ, Maula Ali Mushkil Kusha, the Lion of God رضي الله عنه, says: 'The blessed face of the Beloved Prophet of Allah ﷺ had some roundness.' (Meaning the blessed face was not completely round, and this is considered very desirable among the Arabs.) When the Beloved Prophet ﷺ, who was entirely light, became happy, his blessed face became like a mirror, in which the walls, doors, and people's faces began to reflect. That is, the things that were present there became visible from the face of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, meaning they began to reflect.
