The blessed neck of the Beloved Master ﷺ

Sheikh Abdullah Sirajuddin Shami states: كان عنقه صلى اللّٰه علیه وسلم فى استواه ٔواعتداله وحسن ھیئة وجماله كانه عنق صورة ولكن من حیث اللون ھو فى صفاء الفضة وبیاضھا البھیج اللامع. "His ﷺ neck was so perfectly proportioned, balanced, beautiful, and handsome as if it is a carved statue, but in terms of color, it was as pure and bright as polished silver." The Beloved Prophet's ﷺ blessed neck was the most beautiful among all people, as clear and radiant as pure silver. Hazrat Hafiz Abu Bakr ibn Abi Khaithama further elaborates on this, saying: كان رسول اللّٰه صلى اللّٰه علیه وسلم احسن الناس عنقا ما ظھر عن عنقه للشمس والریاح فكانه بریق فضة مشرب ذھبا یتلأ لأ فى بیاض الفضة وحمرة الذھب وما غیبت الثیاب من عنقه فما تحتھا فكانه القمر لیلة البدر "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had the most beautiful neck of all people. Whatever part of his neck was exposed to the sun or wind was like a silver flask mixed with gold, shining with the whiteness of silver and the redness of gold. And whatever part of his neck was covered by clothing, that part was like the moon on a full moon night." Ibn Jauzi also narrated this blessed hadith from Usman bin Abdul Malik, in which the words are as follows: حدثنى خالى وكان من أصحاب على یوم صفّین عن على قال: كان رسول اللّٰه صلى اللّٰه علیه وسلم كأن عنقه إبریق فضة "My maternal uncle, who was among the companions of Sayyiduna Ali in the Battle of Siffin, told me from Sayyiduna Ali that the blessed neck of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was like a silver jug in terms of purity and whiteness." The Beloved Prophet's ﷺ blessed neck was free from any blemishes or imperfections common to human beings. It was neither too thick nor too thin, but perfectly proportioned. Despite the aging process, which often causes the skin to sag or wrinkle, but the Almighty God, with His divine power, had made the Beloved Master ﷺ a masterpiece of beauty and perfection, personally adorning and beautifying him.
