مشکاۃ المصابیح (حدیث 5796)It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir ibn Samurah رضي الله عنه who said: The shins of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were somewhat slender, and he ﷺ would not laugh aloud but only smile. And whenever I looked at the Beloved Prophet ﷺ, I would think that he had applied kohl to his eyes — even though he ﷺ had not.
The physical beauty of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was exceptional, both collectively and individually in each of his limbs. Among these blessed limbs were his shins, which were a masterpiece of beauty. His shins were slender, a quality highly desirable in masculine beauty. As narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah رضي الله عنه: "كان فى ساقى رسول اللّٰه صلى اللّٰه علیه وسلم حموشة" "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had slender shins." Sayyiduna Abu Huzaifah رضي الله عنه narrated that once the Noble Prophet ﷺ came out of his tent, and I had the honor of seeing his blessed shins. The memory of that sight is still fresh in my mind today. He said: "كانى انظر الى وبیص ساقیه." "It is as if I am looking at the whiteness of his shins." Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Hussein Bayhaqi, while narrating the same narration, mentioned: "فلما دنوت منه وھو على ناقته، جعلت انظر الى ساقه كانھا جمارة" "When I approached him while he was riding a camel, I looked at his shin and it was like the gum of a date palm." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Sabra Bahili رضي الله عنه said: "I was present during the Farewell Hajj and the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was standing on his camel. His blessed shin was in the stirrup and looked like the gum of a date palm. Due to love and affection, I clung to it. The Beloved Prophet ﷺ lightly striked me with a stick, and I said, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I will take revenge on you.' He gave me the stick and said, 'Take your revenge.' I got the opportunity and kissed his blessed shin and foot.
