شمائل ترمزی (حدیث 52)Sayyidatuna Umm Salamah رضي الله تعالٰى عنها narrates that the Noble Prophet ﷺ preferred the shirt (i.e., qamees) over all other garments.
The Beloved Prophet ﷺ commonly wore a shirt and a loincloth. He particularly liked the striped Yemeni shawls, known as "humra" in Arabic. On some occasions, he ﷺ wore a woolen Syrian thobe with sleeves so tight that he ﷺ had to remove his hands from the sleeves during ablution. He ﷺ also wore a Kusuwaani thobe, which had a silk border on the pocket and both seams. He ﷺ once wore a woolen shawl with a saddle-like pattern. He preferred white clothing and disliked red. He never wore pajamas. Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه said, "The Beloved Prophet ﷺ, leaning on Sayyiduna Usama رضي الله عنه, entered a house. At that time, the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was wrapped in a Yemeni patterned cloth. Then, the Beloved Prophet ﷺ came out and led the Companions in prayer.
