شمائل ترمذی (حدیث 84)Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله تعالٰى عنه narrates that the Noble Prophet’s ﷺ ring was made of silver, and it also had a gemstone.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه that the Beloved Prophet's ﷺ ring had the inscription محمد رسول اللہ (Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah). Some scholars have written that the inscription was arranged in a way where اللہ was at the top and محمد رسول was below, in a circular form. However, most scholars believe that the words محمد رسول اللہ were visible. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said that the Beloved Prophet ﷺ had a silver ring made. The stone was on the palm side, and the inscription محمد رسول was engraved on it. He forbade people from engraving this on their rings. This was the same ring that was lost in a well during the time of Sayyiduna Uthman رضي الله عنه. It is narrated that Sayyiduna Ali رضي الله عنه said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade me from wearing a ring on this finger or this finger, and he pointed to the middle finger and the one next to it. It should be noted that women are allowed to wear rings on any finger, but men are prohibited from wearing rings on three fingers: the thumb, the index finger, and the middle finger. It is recommended for men to wear rings on two fingers: the little finger and the one next to it. Similarly, men can only wear one ring, and it should be of silver, weighing no more than 4.25 mashas. Women can wear ten rings, made of gold or silver, on all ten fingers.
