صحیح بخاری (حدیث 5363)Sayyiduna Aswad reports: I asked Sayyidatuna Aisha رضي الله تعالٰى عنها, “What would the Noble Prophet ﷺ do at home?” She replied, “He ﷺ would remain engaged in household tasks — that is, he would help with the work of the family — and when the time for prayer arrived, he ﷺ would leave for the prayer.”
The Holy Prophet ﷺ did not hesitate to do any household chores. He would milk the goat, wash his own clothes, and mend his torn clothes and shoes. It is known that doing household work is the way of the righteous; one should not hesitate in doing any permissible work. Sayyidatuna Aisha رضي الله عنها says: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would mend his clothes, repair his shoes, and do all the work that men do in their homes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best among you is the one who is best to his family (household), and I am the best of you to my family.'
