شمائل ترمذی (حدیث 104)Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid رضي الله تعالٰى عنه narrates that during the Battle of Uhud, the Noble Prophet ﷺ had worn two coats of armor, one over the other, on his blessed body.
Sayyiduna Zubair رضي الله عنه narrated that during the Battle of Uhud, the Beloved Prophet ﷺ was wearing two coats of mail: one called ذَاتُ الْفُضُولِ and the other فِضَّه. The Beloved Prophet ﷺ intended to climb a rock, but due to its height, the weight of the two coats of mail, and the injuries he had sustained in the battle which had caused his face to be covered in blood, he was unable to do so. Therefore, he ﷺ made Sayyiduna Talha رضي الله عنه sit down and climbed the rock using him as a stwep. Sayyiduna Zubair رضي الله عنه said that he heard the Beloved Prophet ﷺ say, "Talha has made (Paradise or my intercession) obligatory for himself." The Beloved Prophet ﷺ used many coats of mail during his lifetime, some of which were named: • ذَاتُ الْفُضُولِ • ذَاتُ الْوَشَاح • ذَاتُ الْحَوَاشِي • فِضَّه • سَعْدِيَّهِ يا سَعْدِيَّهِ • الْبَتْرَاءُ ، الْخَرْنَقُ
